Studying abroad is a lifelong experience!
Inara M
Uzbekistan, Graduate
Tourism, 2022
Overall
Zhongshan University (aka Sun Yatsen University) was the university of my dream and i was super excited when i got the CSC Government Scholarship offer to study there. It is one of the top 10 schools in China, the School of Tourism is top 1st, which is why everyone there was concerned about studies and grades. During the first year of studies we took all credits, been studying during weekends too, was a tough year, but with the help of our teachers and amazing friends we all did well.
Being apart from our families made us - international students closer, so we felt like we were each other's familiesm spending holidays together, going through ups and downs and supporting each other.
Also cannot not mention how rich and beautiful Chinese culture is. It's the place where conservatism and modernism, historical and futuristical, nature and architecture, traditional things and Hi-Tech co-exsist with harmony.
In overall, I'd say i enjoyed my studies and my stay in China a lot,  attending lectures related to Business Administration and Tourism Management, visiting new places, found the best friends ever, sharpened my Chinese language skills and just got more independent living there alone. I definitely would recommend anyone I know to use the chance like I did, if they ever get similar offers.
Obrigada!

Overall
My entire study period within Zhongshan University was great. It not only provided me with very solid ground within science, but also taught me the way to think critically, openly and creatively. Zhongshan University has a free academic atmosphere where students have their own liberty to think and talk. Different voices were easily being heard. It helped me to form an open mind which benefits me so much after my graduation.
