As a Partner of Choice, our Global Business Services (GBS) support Siemens businesses worldwide in achieving excellence in their internal processes across areas such as Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Customer Services, and many more.
We are currently looking for an SAP MRP Controller to provide services to Siemens Mobility US.

You will make a difference by:
* Performing MRP controller material planning to source and procure items across multiple projects within Siemens Mobility.
* Analyzing demand in the ERP system, and creating Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders accordingly.
* Conducting excess inventory analyses and coordinating with the warehouse to assess availability; minimizing excess stock to reduce business liability.
* Negotiating with suppliers for quick buys and urgent material needs.
* Shifting priorities quickly and seamlessly in a dynamic, fast-paced supply chain environment.
* Applying creative, out-of-the-box thinking to manage end-of-project scenarios and critical material shortages, preventing delays in vehicle completion.
* Monitoring changes in supply or demand - in both quantity and timing - and correcting imbalances proactively.
* Reviewing, canceling, or modifying Purchase Orders and setting up rework POs in accordance with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
* Lot-sizing materials to minimize inventory holding costs and transit costs, aligned with the production schedule.
* Creating regular statistical reports and analyses on left-to-buy parts for management review.
* Utilizing supply and demand data in SAP for demand planning, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies as required.
* Monitoring the Bill of Materials (BOM) and coordinating with Production Planning and Engineering teams to address and resolve discrepancies.
* Taking timely follow-up actions with suppliers regarding material shortages that could impact production.
* Assessing volume requirements against planning assumptions to ensure alignment.
* Interpreting and analyzing Engineering drawings to support procurement decisions.
* Coordinating with Material Program Managers to ensure on-time release of Purchase Orders for critical parts.
* Managing and tracking inventory transfers between different projects and across other Siemens Mobility units
