About the Team

Delivery: The Delivery team is focused on innovating and streamlining how products and services reach our customers. In this role, you'll contribute to building efficient and robust systems that support order processing, logistics, and real-time tracking. Your contributions will help optimize the end-to-end delivery experience, making it more reliable and seamless for both drivers and customers.
Core Services: Software engineers in the Core Services organization develop and manage the commerce platform that powers all of Uber's applications. Operating in more than 70 countries and processing millions of transactions per second, the team works to meet the evolving needs of Uber's current and future business.

What You'll Do

* Contribute to solving complex engineering problems in fast-moving environments, working with peers and stakeholders to deliver practical, high-quality solutions.
* Take ownership of features and services from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
* Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver impactful user-facing functionality.
* Improve code quality and system reliability by following engineering best practices, including testing, documentation, and thoughtful system design

What You'll Need

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; OR 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building and maintaining scalable applications.
* Proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Go, Java, or Python).
* Experience with modern frontend technologies (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, React).
* Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, APIs, and service-oriented architectures.
* Experience writing clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
* Professional English communication skills to collaborate with globally distributed teams.
Bonus Ponits if
* Experience working with microservices architectures and high-throughput, low-latency systems.
* Experience contributing to cross-team projects or improving existing system design.
