Your job mission:

The Global Packaging Development Center is responsible for overseeing and advising internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Marketing, Research and Development Functions, Global Supply Chain, Suppliers) on the technical execution of conventional or RRP packaging projects, from the development and qualification of new packaging designs and materials to the revision and production of existing packaging products, as well as managing the execution according to project timeline and maintenance in JTI systems. The Qualification & Standards team is responsible for the qualification and monitoring of Packaging suppliers globally, maintenance of the local Quality Management System in R&D Packaging and for the Packaging specification management system.

Your Taks:

As Qualification & Standards Manager in the Global Packaging Development Center you will be responsible for the following tasks:

* Lead qualifications of new print and artwork suppliers globally including risk assessments, trainings and audits in close collaboration with the internal stakeholders

* Lead surveillance audits of existing print and artwork suppliers including risk-based prioritization, remote or onsite audits, creation of action plans

* Establish, maintain, and continuously enhance global standards for print, conversion, and artwork. This includes defining specifications, test methods and daily operation standards for suppliers, with clear communication to both internal and external stakeholders

* Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System in R&D Packaging function and coordinate the respective internal audit activities and corrective and preventive actions

Your Profile:

* Printing Engineer, Packaging Engineer, or Quality Manager

* Practical experience in supplier management (supplier qualifications, surveillance audits)

* Several years of Packaging experience within the FMCG industry

* Profound knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, BRCGS)

* Good knowledge of printing and converting technologies as well as design standards

* Good knowledge in statistical methods

* Ability to work effectively in a diverse team and in an international environment

* Excellent communication, moderation, and presentation skills

* Excellent English knowledge both written and spoken. Additional foreign language knowledge is advantageous, preferably German

* Profound knowledge in MS office
