The Service Business is a major cornerstone of Vestas, which seeks to secure long-term partnerships and continued business with customers through focused, creative, and best-in-class service offerings. The go-to-market region Northern & Central Europe (NCE) Service Sales Onshore organization is a key contributor to this vision, providing leadership, governance, and strategic direction to customer-facing service sales teams across the Vestas Service Commercial landscape in the important markets of United Kingdom, Benelux, Ireland, Nordics, Baltics, Poland, Germany, and Austria.
Responsibilities:
In your role as Manager Service Sales Onshore (m/f/d), you will lead, develop, and steer a regional team (within the CENTRAL region) of Service Sales Managers, accountable for delivering profitable growth in line with Vestas' Service Commercial strategy and long-term customer partnerships in central Europe. Your tasks will include:
* Leading and developing a motivated, diverse, and geographically distributed team of Service Sales Managers, with clear focus on performance management, capability building, and succession planning
* Acting as strategic sparring partner and escalation point for key customer relationships, while ensuring customer ownership and commercial accountability remain clearly anchored within the sales management team
* Working closely with peers from other regions and with key stakeholders across Wind Turbine Sales, Customer Service Management, Legal, Finance, and Engineering to ensure alignment between commercial strategy and execution
* Driving professionalization and continuous improvement of the service account management model in the region, including governance, deal quality, pricing discipline, and customer segmentation approaches
* Steering and prioritizing the sale of long-term service contracts, renewals, and aftermarket products through a structured pipeline and portfolio management mindset
* Ensuring strong market intelligence and forward-looking demand understanding, enabling the organization to identify untapped opportunities and to co-develop suitable offerings with regional and global functions
* Establishing a structured leadership, coaching, and process governance approach, ensuring high-quality adoption of Vestas' commercial processes while actively challenging and improving existing ways of working
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should bring:
* Master's degree, for instance with a focus on business, economics, or engineering
* Several years of highly relevant experience in commercial leadership roles within account management and sales, preferably in services / aftersales, turbine sales, or other long-term service-based business models
* Proven people leadership experience, including leading leaders or senior sales professionals within commercial organizations
* Demonstrated track record of delivering sustainable business results through teams, with strong governance over complex, long-cycle deals
* Strong financial acumen, entrepreneurial approach towards value engineering and customer value proposition
* Professional English and German skills, both verbally and in writing
* Ability and willingness to travel (approx. 30%)
