Responsabilities
As a Design Release Engineer - ECS (Energy Conversion Systems) at General Motors de Mexico, you will be responsible for the design, development, and release of Global Propulsion System (GPS) components and systems for our vehicles. This role requires a customer-focused approach to ensure high-quality and reliable GPS solutions.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead the design, development, and integration of GPS hardware and software components into vehicle architectures.
* Utilize Engineering Release Systems to manage and track the lifecycle of GPS designs, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
* Drive group problem solving initiatives to address design challenges and implement effective solutions for GPS systems.
* Lead cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and validation, to ensure seamless integration and timely release of GPS features.
* Apply the Waterfall Model methodology to manage project phases from concept to production, ensuring thorough documentation and verification at each stage.
* Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to define technical specifications and resolve issues related to GPS performance and functionality.
* Conduct design reviews and apply Teamcenter Visualization to analyze and communicate complex design information effectively.
* Maintain a results-oriented approach to achieve project milestones and deliver high-quality GPS products within established timelines and budgets.
Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree: Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
*
Experience: design, development, and integration of GPS components (Turbo Oil Pipes, Coolant Hoses and Pipes, etc.)
*
Strong understanding of Engineering Release Systems and product lifecycle management.(GVDP, PRTS, DFMEA/PFMEA, GART, P-Release, DFSS, Red X, PPAP etc.)
*
Experience with the Waterfall Model or similar structured development methodologies.
*
Soft skills: emonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and facilitate group problem solving.
*
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer-focused mindset.
*
Highly results-oriented with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
