Production Supervisor - Paint Process (Temporary Position - 12 Months)

About the Role

Join our manufacturing team as a Production Supervisor - Paint Process and play a key role in ensuring excellence across our painting operations. This position is responsible for leading daily production activities, driving operational performance, and developing high-performing teams while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
This is a 12-month temporary assignment designed for professionals who are passionate about manufacturing, enjoy being close to the operation, and are interested in building a long-term career in Production and Operations. We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in Chemistry or related disciplines who can bring a strong understanding of paint and chemical processes while leading people and driving results on the shop floor.

What will you do?

* Execute the production plan within the paint process area to meet delivery commitments, quality standards, and customer expectations.
* Lead, coach, and develop production teams across rotating shifts, promoting a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.
* Drive daily shop floor management activities, ensuring production objectives are achieved safely and efficiently.
* Monitor critical paint process parameters and ensure adherence to established operating standards and specifications.
* Lead Short Interval Management (SIM) routines, monitor KPIs, identify performance gaps, and drive corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality requirements related to paint operations and chemical handling.
* Coordinate and optimize the use of people, equipment, and materials to achieve operational targets.
* Support root cause analysis and problem-solving activities related to quality, productivity, delivery, and process deviations.
* Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to improve operational performance.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, waste reduction, process capability, and overall manufacturing excellence.
* Support autonomous maintenance practices and help ensure equipment reliability within the paint area.
* Promote standard work, process discipline, and operational excellence throughout the production floor.

What will make you successful?

* Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment leading teams, projects, internships, or production-related activities.
* Strong interest in paint processes, coatings, surface treatment, chemical manufacturing processes, or similar industrial operations.
* Genuine passion for shop floor operations and hands-on manufacturing environments.
* Natural interest in leading, coaching, developing, and engaging people.
* Strong desire to build a long-term career in Production, Operations, and Manufacturing leadership.
* Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make sound operational decisions.
* Understanding of safety, quality, and continuous improvement principles within manufacturing environments.
* Ability to work effectively in fast-paced production settings and manage changing priorities.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders.
* Intermediate to advanced English level.
* Availability to work rotating shifts.
* Availability to join a temporary 12-month assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience or exposure to industrial painting, powder coating, wet paint, pretreatment, chemical processes, finishing operations, or related manufacturing environments.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
* Experience managing production KPIs and supporting operational excellence initiatives.

Work Environment & Schedule

Rotating Shifts
* 1st and 2nd Shift: Monday to Saturday
* 3rd Shift: Monday to Friday
