At GN, we believe great employee experiences begin with a solid foundation. Payroll plays a vital role in the employee journey, and we are looking for a Payroll Manager who brings accuracy, compliance, and high-quality service together with a commitment to ongoing process improvement.

In the role of Payroll Team Lead within our Global Business Services organization, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will manage payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with local regulations, and a positive experience for employees and stakeholders. You will also help advance process improvements, reinforce governance, and build an effective payroll function.

The team you will be part of
You will join a collaborative and international team that supports GN's employees across multiple markets. We work closely with HR, Finance, external payroll providers, and business leaders to ensure smooth and compliant payroll operations while continuously seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and service quality.
Our culture is built on trust, accountability, and teamwork. We value open communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement, creating an environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas and help improve processes.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
* Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with local legislation, regulations, and company policies.
* Maintain compliance with payroll, wage, tax, and employment-related requirements across countries within your area of responsibility.
* Oversee payroll operations managed by external vendors and service providers, ensuring consistent service quality and effective partnerships.
* Monitor payroll controls, reconciliations, and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Support the correct taxation of employee benefits, allowances, and international assignments where applicable.
* Develop and maintain payroll documentation, procedures, and governance standards.
* Prepare and deliver payroll-related financial and operational reports.
* Facilitate internal and external audits by providing required documentation and supporting information.
* Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, efficiency, and employee experience.
* Collaborate closely with HR, Finance, Accounts Payable, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless end-to-end processes.
* Manage team resources, workload distribution, and capability development to ensure operational excellence.
* Support and guide team members while building a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:
* Hold a degree within Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
* Have experience managing payroll operations across multiple countries and regulatory environments.
* Understand payroll legislation, taxation, compliance requirements, and payroll best practices.
* Have experience working with external payroll providers and managing vendor relationships.
* Are comfortable working within multinational organizations, shared service centers, or global business services environments.
* Bring well-developed analytical skills and a genuine focus on improving workflows and efficiency.
* Have experience working with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar platforms.
* Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
* Bring a detail-oriented mindset and follow an organized approach in your work.
* Enjoy leading, supporting, and developing people and teams.
* Are fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Flexible working
At GN, we pride ourselves on encouraging flexible working whenever possible. We trust our people to carry out their tasks, to know when in-person collaboration is better than hybrid, and to be present when it's needed most. We believe flexibility supports both good performance and a healthy work-life balance.

We encourage you to apply
Even if you don't match all the above-mentioned skills, we welcome your application if you believe you have transferable skills and relevant experience. We highly value a mindset and motivation that align with our core values, supporting growth for you, your team, and the wider GN organization.

We are focused on an inclusive recruitment process
All applicants will receive equal consideration for employment. As such, we encourage you to submit your CV without a photo to support an equal and fair application process.
