General Ledger Accountant

Location: Paço de Arcos - Q45, Portugal

BSS (Thales Business Support Services) acts as a Shared Service Centre for a number of Thales countries for various key tasks associated to finance, reconciliation, procurement and supply chain.

We are expanding our R2R (Record to Report) team recruiting a General Ledger Accountant based in Lisbon, as a result of continued growth for TBSS being forecasted.

Responsabilities:
* Prepare and post journal entries (accruals, deferrals, reclassifications) on a monthly basis;
* Maintain and reconcile General ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy of balances;
* Perform account analysis and support month-end and year-end closing activities;
* Ensure financial data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations;
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes through accurate financial reporting;
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders and maintain proper documentation and records.

Requirements:
* Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Management, Economics or a related field;
* Previous experience in General Ledger or accounting processes;
* Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders;
* Strong organizational and communication skills;
* Good level of English (mandatory);
* MS Office tools proficiency;
* Knowledge of Power BI and Query are a plus;
* Experience processing in Oracle is valued.
