We are looking for a Part-time Working Student (Digital Design Engineer) to join our Retrofit and Digitalization Project Team. The position will be based in Kartal and requires flexibility to travel to various locations across Turkey when needed. The successful candidate will support the execution and development of digitalization projects and will contribute to the enhancement of software solutions related to IoT, AI, and machine learning technologies.
What are my responsibilities?
* Understand customer needs and translate them into appropriate 3D models, visualizations, and interface designs
* Create 3D models of machines, automation systems, production lines, and industrial environments
* Design modern and user-friendly interfaces for industrial applications, dashboards, and SCADA/HMI systems
* Prepare wireframes, prototypes, reusable UI components, and visual design assets
* Contribute to interactive 3D visualization and digital twin applications
* Collaborate with automation, software, and project teams during design, development, testing, and commissioning
* Maintain 3D model libraries, UI components, project files, and technical documentation
* Support project planning, reporting, testing, release, and continuous improvement activities
* Share design knowledge, reusable assets, and best practices with colleagues
What do I need to qualify for this job?
* 3rd-year undergraduate or master's student in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
* Good command of English, both written and spoken
* Availability to work at least 3 days per week
* Strong interest in 3D modeling, digital visualization, UI/UX design, and industrial digitalization technologies
* Practical experience with at least one 3D modeling tool such as SketchUp, Rhino 3D, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Blender, or a comparable platform
* Ability to understand the physical structure of machines, automation equipment, production lines, and industrial environments and transform them into clear and optimized 3D models
* Willingness and ability to learn and work with different 3D modeling and visualization platforms depending on project requirements
* Basic understanding of modeling principles such as geometry creation, assemblies, materials, textures, lighting, rendering, and model optimization
* Basic understanding of UI/UX principles, including usability, layout, visual hierarchy, typography, color systems, responsive design, and reusable components
* Experience with a UI design or prototyping tool such as Figma, Adobe XD, or a similar platform
* Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js is considered an advantage
* Ability to translate technical requirements, automation system structures, and user needs into clear 3D visualizations and user-friendly application interfaces
* Strong visual thinking, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to organize design files, models, components, and documentation in a structured and disciplined manner
* Ability to communicate design concepts and technical outputs clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Willingness to improve designs continuously based on technical constraints, project requirements, and user feedback
* Experience in modeling machines, production lines, automation equipment, or industrial environments
* Familiarity with SCADA, HMI, MES, Industrial IoT, digital twin, or manufacturing applications
* Interest in interactive and web-based 3D visualization technologies
* Familiarity with Three.js, Babylon.js, WebGL, Unity, or similar visualization technologies
* A portfolio or sample work demonstrating 3D modeling, visualization, UI/UX, or frontend design experience is considered a strong advantage
Additional Qualifications:
* Experience in modeling machines, production lines, automation equipment, or industrial environments
* Familiarity with SCADA, HMI, MES, Industrial IoT, digital twin, or manufacturing applications
* Interest in interactive and web-based 3D visualization technologies
