Introduction
The CS EUV Global Training Center at ASML develops and delivers technical training for engineers who maintain EUV machines worldwide.
Within this team, Metrology plays a key role by ensuring every printed chip layer is positioned with extreme accuracy. To support learning, the team is transforming complex Metrology concepts into clear visualizations and simulations. This internship contributes directly to improving how engineers understand and troubleshoot advanced systems. Your assignment
During this internship you support the renewal of advanced Metrology troubleshooting training. You translate complex technical concepts into interactive visual tools that support learning and problem solving. You work closely with technical experts and training developers in an international environment.
Your main responsibilities will be:
* Gather requirements by engaging with trainers, engineers, and subject matter experts.
* Translate learning needs into clear designs for graphical user interfaces.
* Develop visualizations and simulations using Python-based solutions.
* Test and verify software functionality and usability.
* Conduct user tests to validate learning effectiveness for the target audience.
* Improve new and existing visual tools based on structured feedback.
* Optionally explore and evaluate frameworks for simulation development and deployment.
This is a non-thesis bachelor/masters internship for 6 months, 5 days per week (4 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026, but August 2026 is possible.
Your profile
To be suitable for the internship, you:
* Are pursuing a bachelor/masters degree in information technology software engineering/computer science.
* Have hands-on experience with programming in Python.
* Communicate clearly and professionally in English within multicultural teams.
* Are analytical and able to translate abstract problems into concrete solutions.
* Show curiosity about advanced technology and motivation to learn complex systems.
* Preferably have experience with graphical user interfaces.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
