Junior AI Specialist - Internship

Job Description:

Within the Data Management function in Generali Investments Holding, we are looking for a talented and proactive resource to join the team. As AI Specialist, you will collaborate to research, design, and implement AI models using state-of-the-art techniques. You will be involved in data collection, model training, and performance evaluation, while gaining hands-on experience in AI/ML technologies. The successful candidate will perform the following activities:
* Collaborate with the Data Management team to design and develop Proof of Concepts for AI/ML and Generative AI applications
* Assist in gathering and preprocessing large datasets to train and fine-tune AI models
* Research and experiment with various AI/ML techniques to improve model performance and efficiency
* Analyze and evaluate the performance of the AI models
* Present regular progress reports and findings to stakeholder and senior team members
* Support in integrating AI solutions into the company's existing data infrastructure
* Contribute to documentation of processes, experiments, and outcomes for future reference
* Communicate effectively within the team and across departments to ensure alignment on data initiatives and promote data driven culture

Candidate Requirements:

Our ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field
* Passion for AI/ML with knowledge of generative models
* Proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
* Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
* Experience with data preprocessing, working with structured and unstructured data, and familiarity with databases like SQL, NoSQL
* Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and their AI/ML services
