F&B service operations internship

Job Description:

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in the following service areas, according to operational needs and the manager's requests:
- Breakfast service
- A la carte service
- Bar service
- In-room-dining service
- Banqueting service (coffee breaks, aperitifs, buffet lunches, gala dinners)

The internship takes place in Bologna, Italy.

We offer our interns:
- Accomodation in intern's apartment with shared rooms (2 interns per room)
- Partial uniform
- Meals during working shirfs
- A monthly compensation
- Free, weekly italian language lessons (which are part of our program and therefore mandatory)

Tasks of the position:
- Adopt a customer-oriented and service-focused attitude in order to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction
- Set up the dining room and buffets for different types of service according to company standards (breakfast, events, and à la carte service)
- Perform various types of service following our standards and procedures, including breakfast service, room service, served banquets, buffet banquets, coffee breaks, and standing events
- Present the menu, advise guests, provide recommendations, and answer questions related to dishes and ingredients
- Respond to guest inquiries regarding allergens and cooking methods
- Take orders and correctly register them using our PMS system
- Prepare Italian specialty coffees according to our standards
- Maintain positive interaction and collaboration with the entire team
- Handle small guest complaints with professionalism and a service-oriented approach
- Support the responsible staff in managing storage and supplies
- Learn the basics of cocktail preparation and wine pairing with food
