Business & Vendor Logistics Analyst

About this role

As Business & Vendor Logistics Analyst in the area of Vendor Strategy, Network & Pricing (Operational Excellence), you will be a key contributor to the design and optimization of Lieferando's external logistics network across Germany.
In this role, you will provide the analytical backbone for network design, pricing logic, and efficiency improvements. You will work closely with the Lead Vendor Logistics Strategy, Network & Pricing and support the development of data-driven models, insights, and frameworks that enable scalable and cost-efficient vendor operations.

You will not manage vendors directly, but your work will directly influence how the logistics system is structured and optimized. You will collaborate with Vendor Management, Business Planning & Analysis, Product, and Finance teams to ensure data accuracy, transparency, and actionable insights.

Analytics & Network Insights
* Analyze logistics network performance and cost drivers (e.g. density, utilization, efficiency)
* Identify efficiency gaps and optimization opportunities
* Support development of data-driven insights for network and pricing decisions
* Monitor trends and highlight risks and opportunities across regions
Modeling & Scenario Analysis
* Build and maintain models for network design and pricing logic
* Develop scenario analyses and simulations to support strategic decisions
* Support evaluation of new initiatives and optimization levers
* Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
Reporting & Data Management
* Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools for key logistics metrics
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and transparency across systems
* Support regular performance and cost reporting for leadership
* Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and scalability
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner with Vendor Management teams to provide data insights for decision-making
* Collaborate with Business Planning & Analysis on forecasting and capacity topics
* Work with Product and Tech teams to improve data availability and tooling
* Support Finance with cost analysis and business case development

What will you bring to the table?

* Strong analytical professional background of 3-5 years in business analytics, data analysis, logistics, or similar fields
* Experience working with large datasets, KPIs, and performance metrics
* Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; SQL, Python, or BI tools is a plus
* Ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations
* Structured, detail-oriented, and problem-solving mindset
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders
* Interest in logistics, operations, and network optimization
* Experience in fast-paced environments such as delivery, e-commerce, or mobility is a plus
* Fluent in German and English
