Job Description:
The Costing Team Lead guides the team responsible for product costing and inventory accounting across Brazil and Mexico. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, consistent application of accounting policies, and ongoing process enhancement, while fostering service excellence and effective collaboration with stakeholders.

Job Summary
Costing & Inventory Accounting
* Oversee product cost calculations, validations, and system updates.
* Analyze and manage Product Purchase Variances (PPV).
* Prepare statutory inventory reports and safeguard data accuracy.
* Monitor inventory transactions and general ledger reconciliations.
* Conduct Cardex reviews and generate inventory-related reports for supported markets.
* Ensure timely and precise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities aligned with reporting standards.

Controls, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
* Uphold the correct application of accounting policies and data integrity.
* Lead the identification and resolution of root-cause issues.
* Contribute to the design and enhancement of internal controls related to inventory accounting.
* Promote process simplification, operational excellence, and compliance through KPIs and data-driven actions.
* Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new or optimized processes.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management
* Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to the costing team.
* Cultivate a collaborative, high-performance environment focused on continuous improvement.
* Build strong relationships with cross-functional and cross-regional partners.
* Encourage transparent communication and alignment with all stakeholders.

Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Professional Background
* Strong background in product costing and inventory management, ideally within large or multinational organizations.
* Experience leading teams and working in a Global Business Services / Shared Services environment is highly valued.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and hands-on experience with SAP Hana.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines, particularly during month-end close cycles.

* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.
* Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.
* High sense of urgency and strong prioritization skills in a dynamic environment.
* Advanced English proficiency (reading, writing, and conversation).
* Portuguese at intermediate level.

Work Location & Shift Pattern
* Santa Fe, CDMX
* Schedule: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
* Hybrid model: 2 days remote, 3 days onsite
