At Grand Hyatt Barcelona, one of the city's newest luxury landmarks, we are looking for a Guest Services Officer - Front Office with a strong service mindset and attention to detail to join our Rooms team.
This role is ideal for hospitality professionals with a genuine passion for guest service and experience using Opera / Opera Cloud, who enjoy creating exceptional and memorable guest experiences in a luxury environment.

About the Role

As a Guest Services Officer - Front Office, you will be one of the main points of contact for our guests, managing daily Front Desk operations, handling arrivals and departures, and ensuring a seamless guest journey aligned with Hyatt's luxury standards.
This position requires strong communication skills, organization, and a proactive mindset to ensure guest satisfaction and the smooth execution of all operational and administrative processes within the department.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Front Desk Operations

* Deliver professional, friendly, and efficient guest service at all times
* Manage check-in, check-out, and personalized guest interactions in line with brand standards
* Handle guest inquiries, requests, and incidents, ensuring proper follow-up and resolution
* Create a welcoming, refined, and service-oriented atmosphere

Systems & Operational Management

* Manage reservations, room assignments, and changes using Opera / Opera Cloud
* Ensure guest profiles and system information are accurate and up to date
* Support the administrative and operational needs of the Front Office
* Prepare and complete internal reports when required

Coordination & Internal Communication

* Coordinate with Housekeeping, Concierge, Bell Services, and other departments to ensure smooth operations
* Handle special requests, last-minute changes, and operational priorities
* Ensure clear and effective communication within the team and across departments

Service Excellence & Brand Representation

* Represent the Grand Hyatt brand with professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail

* Ensure compliance with brand standards related to quality, service, and safety

Candidate Requirements:

Requirements & Qualifications

* Strong guest-service orientation
* Previous experience in Front Office; luxury hotel experience is highly valued
* Practical experience with hotel PMS systems; Opera / Opera Cloud is a strong plus
* Fluent in Spanish and English, both spoken and written; additional languages are an advantage
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
* Professional, proactive, and calm under pressure
