Duties and responsibilities related to the Chef de Partie role
* Take ownership of your assigned section, ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented consistently to the required standards.
* Supervise and participate in food preparation and cooking in accordance with established recipes, methods, and Hyatt standards.
* Monitor food quality throughout preparation and service by regularly tasting and checking dishes.
* Review daily menus, function sheets, event orders, and forecasts to ensure appropriate preparation and production levels.
* Manage stock levels within your section, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
* Ensure all equipment, utensils, and work areas are clean, organised, and maintained in safe working condition.
* Maintain full compliance with food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and health & safety regulations at all times.
* Support and coach junior team members through on-the-job training and guidance on correct work methods and standards.
* Assist the Sous Chef with menu planning and the preparation of market lists in line with Hyatt quality and quantity standards.
* Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations during service.
