Employee Relations Partner
Location: Wilmington, DE

Accountabilities:
* Provide trusted, consistent employee relations guidance to leaders, HRBPs, and employees across AstraZeneca's US footprint, balancing business needs, employee experience, and legal/compliance risk.
* Lead and/or partner on employee investigations end-to-end, including intake, fact-finding, documentation, findings, and closure actions.
* Coach leaders on performance management, corrective action, workplace conduct, and conflict resolution; support sound decision-making through clear recommendations.
* Strengthen leader and employee capability through proactive education and resources (e.g., policy guidance, training moments, and toolkits) aligned to AstraZeneca values.
* Monitor employee sentiment and ER trends to identify root causes and recommend sustainable, systemic improvements that support engagement and a respectful workplace.
* Partner closely with HR, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure outcomes are fair, timely, well-documented, and consistently applied.
Essential Skills/Experience:
* Bachelor's degree (HR, Business, or related field).
* 8+ years of progressive Employee Relations experience (or other HR experience with significant ER scope) supporting leaders through complex workplace matters.
* Strong working knowledge of US employment laws and ER best practices; ability to translate requirements into practical, business-ready guidance.
* Demonstrated skill in consulting, influencing, and de-escalation, with the judgment to navigate sensitive issues with discretion and fairness.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, including clear documentation and the ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and multiple cases/projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive, collaborative working style; able to operate independently while partnering effectively across HR, Legal, Compliance, and business leadership.
* Change agility and resilience-comfortable working through ambiguity, shifting priorities, and organizational change.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
* Juris Doctorate Degree strongly preferred
* Advanced degree in HR or related field
* Experience using (or strong interest in) AI-enabled tools to improve ER/HR workflows, insights, and employee experience (e.g., case triage, knowledge management, drafting, or trend analysis).
* HR experience in pharmaceutical industry
* Experience managing employee relations in a diverse work environment including an exempt and non-exempt employee population
* Experience in a multi-location company is a plus
