Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) Benelux is seeking a motivated Analyst to join its Investment Banking team in Amsterdam.

Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) Benelux is seeking a high-performing Associate to join its Investment Banking team in Amsterdam. This position is driven by the continued growth of our franchise across the Benelux region and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base, including corporates, financial sponsors, and high-growth companies, in delivering strategic advice in addition to structured and leveraged financing solutions.

We're shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. As an Associate, you will play a central role in the execution of transactions, while taking increasing responsibility in client engagement and business development.

Working closely with senior bankers, as well as industry and product specialists, you will help manage key workstreams and contribute to the origination and structuring of tailored solutions across mergers and acquisitions, as well as equity and debt financing. The role provides significant exposure to clients and internal stakeholders and is designed as a pathway towards a Vice President role.

To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
* Lead the execution of key workstreams across advisory and financing transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets activities, and other strategic initiatives
* Take full ownership of financial analysis and valuation outputs, ensuring high quality, accuracy, and clear articulation of key insights working together with the relevant product and sector teams
* Drive the development of client materials, including pitch books, strategic presentations, and transaction documentation
* Manage transaction processes end-to-end in coordination with senior bankers, including interaction with clients, advisors, and internal stakeholders
* Actively contribute to client dialogue and support the development of long-term relationships through consistent and thoughtful engagement
* Play a meaningful role in origination efforts, working in conjunction with product and sector teams, to help identify opportunities, develop strategic ideas, and prepare client-facing materials
* Supervise and mentor Analysts, ensuring high-quality execution and supporting their professional development

Professional Experience
* Relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a comparable environment

Education
* Economics, Business Administration degree, engineering or similar. Desirable MBA or MSc in Finance or similar
* Master's degree in any discipline, with demonstrated interest in finance and strong analytical capabilities

Languages
* Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are considered an advantage

Hard Skills
* Solid experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or a comparable environment, with a strong track record in transaction execution
* Advanced financial modelling and analytical skills, with a deep understanding of accounting and valuation methodologies
* Demonstrated ability to manage transactions and multiple workstreams with a high degree of independence
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with clients and senior stakeholders
* Commercial mindset, with the ability to contribute to client development and origination activities

Soft Skills
* Leadership capability and experience in mentoring junior team members
