IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a technically skilled Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email & Mobile Developer Manager who will lead the development of dynamic email and mobile communications, automations, and architecture within Journey Builder.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and will be responsible for mentoring and coaching junior developers, while identifying opportunities to innovate, improve efficiency, and automate development processes. You will be hands-on in designing and implementing complex email marketing solutions while fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
Influence, manage, execute and optimize a strategic test and learn approach for IHG's customer-centric email marketing program, ensuring flawless delivery while driving channel efficiencies and effectiveness.

Your Day to Day:
* Lead, guide, and support a team of email developers in building, editing, testing, and QA of email communications within Salesforce Marketing Cloud using Content Builder, Data Extensions, and programming languages. Architect and develop multi-channel customer journeys within Journey Builder, ensuring scalability and maintainability. Serve as a subject matter expert on Automation Studio, Data Extensions, Mobile Studio, Content Builder, and related SFMC tools, providing technical leadership and best practices.
* Write and optimize SQL queries to manage and manipulate data within SFMC databases. Program dynamic, data-driven emails and landing pages utilizing AMPscript, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, API integrations, and SSJS, while reviewing and improving code quality across the team.
* Promote and share industry best practices related to development, strategy, testing, and accessibility. Collaborate closely with marketing and data teams to translate campaign requirements into robust technical solutions.
* Ensure adherence to best practices in email development, including personalization, segmentation, data management, and deliverability optimization.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to email campaigns and SFMC platform performance. Stay up-to-date with Salesforce Marketing Cloud features, industry trends, and emerging martech innovations to continuously improve team capabilities.
* Support code reviews, knowledge sharing, and documentation to maintain high-quality standards. Drive innovation in customer communications and template design, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with Inbox Monster to monitor deliverability and communication rendering, ensuring optimal performance. Oversee the development of personalized content within the Movable Ink platform and its integration into commercial and loyalty communications.
* Maintain, evolve, and expand a modular email template codebase, ensuring consistency and reusability. Assist in resource planning and workload management within the email development team.

What We Need From You:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Marketing Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
* Strong marketing automation strategy and implementation experience with email products, CRM tools and systems
* Experience engaging and influencing cross-functional working partnerships in a global organization
* Experience of working within a complex business with a range of stakeholders with different needs
* Ability to maintain a service-oriented team culture, that delivers consistent, high-quality work for IHG's complex stakeholder group
* Strong project management skills to juggle multiple projects often having tight deadlines
* Excellent organizational skills with extreme attention to detail, accuracy and accountability
* Strong interpersonal and above-average communication skills

Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
