What Intern contributes to Cardinal Health
Internship programs are in learning and support roles for temporary periods of time. Intern responds to the specific business and functional needs of respective work group(s) and executing work according to guidance.
Summary of role:
Supports laboratory work by conduct benchmark testing on medical device (surgical gloves), conduct small scale experiments in the laboratory, analyze data and prepare test reports.
Responsibilities:
* Mainly support fundamental product research, product development, business sustaining project and alternate material source on various types of medical gloves, from concept through commercialization, by working closely with Scientists and Engineers.
* Keeps equipment operating by following standard operating instructions/ work procedures.
* Support day to day compounding, chemical mixing, forming, chlorination, and all relevant testing activities in wet lab environment.
* Evaluate material performance for exam/surgical glove samples via various analytical tools.
* Providing reliable and precise data to support scientific or engineering investigations.
* Observe lab safety and maintain lab cleanliness via 5S methodology.
* Shall take additional responsibility as guided by the immediate superior.
Requirements:
* Degree / Diploma in Material Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or equivalents will be preferred.
* Good working attitude, initiative driven and able to work independently.
* Proficient test report preparation, statistical analysis, written and verbal communication.
* Demonstrated initiative through problem-solving and system thinking
* Team player qualities and good interpersonal skills.
