Internships - AI/ML Services Automation in Networking Systems

Job Description

The topic of the internships integrates in the overall research carried out by the department in the field of AI/ML application to networks and networking systems. The interns will participate in this research study together with (COMPANY NAME) Bell Labs researchers. In particular, they will focus on the automation of some AI/ML management operations (AIOps/MLOps), such as collaborative AIs and AI-at-the-edge.

This is a 6-month master internship in France (Massy, suburb of Paris).

Responsibilities

You will:

* Design a solution for a given problem related to AI/ML management operations (AIOps/MLOps) in networking systems provided by or discussed with the supervisors.
* Contribute to the design of new architectures and procedures enabling composition, operation and exchange of data and AIs among software entities.
* Setup a Proof-of-Concept (PoC) to demonstrate the engineered solution while integrating existing software as well as open-source software.
* Help present and showcase the implemented solution together with the introduced innovations.

Required Skills

You have:

* Good experience (and interest) in Python programming (and SW development in general)
* Systems/Software: Linux (which you should be very comfortable with), VirtualBox, Docker
* Understanding of micro services architecture, cloud & virtualization concepts
* Basic knowledge in AI/ML principles
* Good presentation and writing skills; very good communication skills in English as the work is embedded in an international team

It would be nice if you also had:

* Hands-on/coding experience in Machine Learning (ML)
* Knowledge of Kubernetes
* Knowledge of 5G architecture
