Strong university with good career opportunities
Kevin S
Hungary, Graduate
Engineering, Mechanical, 2021
Overall
BME is Hungary's most recognized technological university – the predicted standard of expertise may be quite high, as this implies. Many teachers are highly trained professionals in their profession and keen on teaching. Laboratories are well designed, but there are differences – often student laboratories look a little outdated, but if you start working on a project, you can most likely work with high-tech equipment if that's appropriate for your study.

Just to make things clear I would like to say, I have started to study chemical engineering in Hungary then I applied to Imperial Collage and now I am doing my degree in London. I have started my course here from the first year since this way I am not losing any time (in Hungary it was a 5 year course and here it is a 4 year course).

even with expenses about 20% to 30% more I would choose another university ! dont judge on what you see at first year..from second year it gets worse.

they must seriously think about their evaluation system of academic performance of students. It is very easy to pass even with a minimal knowledge.

I am sure students from western countries will be satisfied.also those who like fun more than academic efforts. Those who want a serious education are highly recommended to avoid this place.

I would have made even more fun, if I had know the level of the courses was not high.

If you want to meet many international people and make a lot of fun and not spend to much: this is your place. There is so much social life that study becomes less and less important.

That many of the courses advertised in the prospectus would not run. This applies mainly to the masters course.

Do come here to experience Eastern Europe. Do come here to enjoy being part of a big Erasmus student body. Do come here to explore a diverse city.

It is a good location from which to explore Central Europe. You should fully take advantage of this from the beginning.
