Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
On the campus, there was an apartman for each 5-6 students, so we can say, it was comfortable, but we - international students - were still living very close to each other, and could organize a lot of common activities, parties or just step across for a tea or coffee. It created a very nice, dynamic and happy atmosphere!

I loved living with young people, from different countries, see how they live, get to know their habits, the way of their thinking and find the way how to organize our everyday life to make all of us feeling good.

Overall
I wish I had known...
Dronten is a very little village. I would like to have and Erasmus in a bigger city, where it's possible to meet young people from outside your campus. And there is not much offer about different music styles in clubs...

Personal recommendation
They should prepare a bar inside the campus, with games pool, table for football and music everyday of the week. Because most of the days there is nothing open in Dronten have fun, and students don't want to take the car in the night when they have drunk.

Travelling within the Netherlands by public transport is more or less easy, because it's very little country. But I have tried to move by train to Paris and Berlin, and it was really expensive.

From my point of view, there is not too much activities to enjoy in Dronten. There are two cafe/bars where you can enjoy, Café La Vie is in the center of Dronten, and lots of people go there everyday; and Nirwana which is quite far from the center, but it's easy to go by bike, and it's a punk rock club, you need a membership otherwise the price to go it's 2€ each night.

It was very nice, because all the students were together, and it's very easy to create relations with different people.

It was very nice, because there were houses of 6 people, but all houses were together in the international campus of the University. Then we had, the facilities of an individual house and also the facilities of a residence in the campus.

If you have the possibility, go there by car. You can travel and visit a lot of places.

Personal comments
I thought I was an Erasmus student, according to that, I should pay the academic fee at my home university in Spain but not in Netherlands. But there was an special agreetment between both universities and I had to pay in both. It was very very bad new I knew just when I arrived to Dronten.
