In the Netherlands, almost everybody speaks well in English, thanks for not translating the programs on the TV, using just subtitles, so you can solve all your problems and live easily there, without of Dutch language knowledge, but of course, in a longer term, studying the local language is an advantage.. Unfortunatly, language courses were not offered by the host university for international students.

All lessons are in English so everyday coping with this language and people who speak it help me. Moreover the obligatin to write many proffesional reports has big influence on the level of my language skills.

Due to the English instructed subjects I did not have any problems with communication. People used to speak English pretty good outside of the campus so even in this area of communication I did not face any misunderstandings or other problems relating to the communication.

First it was difficult to study on a foreign-language, but after some weeks I got used to use the English language. I thought it would have been more difficult.
