Final comments
I have made some trips with the campus association in differents places like cambridge, oxford...It was a way to discover culture of UK. As well, i have participated to a lot of student parties very good to meet people. Nevertheless, i spoke more with foreign students than with english people. My advice is to go alone in a country like that and don't stay with people of the same nationality.

My level of english was alreday high as I had been living in english speaking countries for a long time, but I had never been in a environment where English was the only language spoken. More than the language, I gained fluency, and knowledge on the Eglish culture and way of life.

I was there 9 years ago (1998) but the fact I am still able to write a review should tell you that I enjoyed it. The Union was good fun but it took you ages to get served on Saturdays. When I was there a new 'It's a Scream' pub opened (The Soar Point) which was very popular at the time. A real favourite was a nightclub called Mosquito Coast which had a cocktail bar downstairs with some interisting Happy Hour deals. As my social life revolved around campus life I has a boring 2 weeks around Easter when most of the English students, and als many of the Europeans, went home.
