My favourite nightspots where the Zanzibar, which is a famous club in Leicester, in the city center, which had cool theme nights, but it was mainly because a lot of students of De Monfort use to go there on wednesday nights.

Housing
Type of housing: On campus
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: On campus
Why?
I would live on campus again, because as a first year student, I find it is the easiest way to meet other students, and to know people other than students from your course. It is also a very interesting experience on a personal point of view, as you do not choose who you live with.

My housing in University was in a new hall. We were ten girls sharing a kitchen and two bathroom. We had a very big and clean kitchen, and small rooms, with only the necessary furniture but it was more than sufficiente. My halls were located between the city center and the University, so it had an ideal situation.

Final comments
It is a nice student city to go to, but there is not much to do other than going out in pubs/bars/clubs. No cultural things to do for a little change, the movies are very far. So make sure you can go home once in a while.

I think that De Monfort University is not a university where many foreign student go to, which makes the social integration a little difficult for those who do not have a very level of english at first.

My level of english was alreday high as I had been living in english speaking countries for a long time, but I had never been in a environment where English was the only language spoken. More than the language, I gained fluency, and knowledge on the Eglish culture and way of life.
