because I went out in Paris, which is extremely expensive. Before moving to Paris I lived with my parents so the groceries were not on my expenditure list, but I know it is more expensive here. The Metro is relatively cheap in comparison with Holland.

Do not look for a house in Paris but in the suburbs like Coubevoie, Nanterre and Puteaux. You are close to Paris but enjoy the cheaper rent prices and less noise.

Don't shop until you drop, although Paris has everything you might want... Nightlife is really expensive, go out when there's free entrance.

The overall cost of living standard in France and especially in Paris is significantly higher than that of in Estonia. I regard it as normal and inevitable. Although, yes I did spend more on traveling, because I wanted to see as much of the country and people as possible.
