Academic
Course recommendations
Check if you will have to take more courses than a local student. If so it is not worth coming.

Overall
I wish I had known...
I wish that I knew that ETH imposes extra courses and regulation to International students. International Students have to take more courses and exam than the local students.
And that some of the compulsory course were in German.

In my opinion:
Stay home.
Important factors in my choice
(1) Unimportant – (4) Very important
Personal recommendation
ETH is struggling to become an international institution. Local students are considered better than international students. ETH has outrageous rules that only apply if your international student. So if you have not been accepted by other University ETH is good but if you have the choice, chose somewhere else. Maybe in 5 ou 10 years, the manage to become an International Institution

I expected an English Master Degree but many professors here are still using German. And ETH will ask some students to take courses that are in German in order to complete your degree.
