Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - My choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
Above all because of independency: no entry hours, could organize myself to study either in the house or the university, could bring acquaintances over and could eat as i am used to.

People who actually lived in Oliver Hall (one of the two university accomodation centers) told me that it was very expensive and moreover, you felt the sensation of being at the university the whole day. They could not disconnect from studying and relax.

It was really interesting. This university is known because 80% of its graduates are foreigners and they speak from 3 to 6 languages fluently. This gave me the opportunity not only to improve my english but my french as well.

Personal spending habits
The cost of living in the United Kingdom, and specially in London is three times higher than in Spain. Accomodation was the most expensive (four/five times higher) followed by nightlife and food. We did not get out of London much due to this fact but we organized ourselves to enjoy it anyways to the maximum!

The best thing to do is to send boxes with some elementary food from your home country through the cheapest transport agency. The cheapest supermarkets are Safeway, Sainsbury's and Tesco (make sure you have one near your apartment!). For bus and subway you can make a student card by sending a brochure stamped by your university, it takes two/three weeks to receive it but you save lots of money. Try to get into the guest lists of the nightclubs it is less expensive. Go to notting hill market or spitalfields to buy appliances (such as a TV), you will get one by 10-35 pounds

I wish I had known...
Cannot think of anything in special. Anyway, while you interact with other people you get to know almost all that you will need to know.

London is one of the cheapest destinations for flights. Anyway, you should check on different flight companies before buying your ticket and there are some useful websites with offers: www.travelocity.co.uk, www.travelselect.com

Academic
Course recommendations
The methodology used is quite different from the spainish one, they don't explain much about the subject, they prefer the student to study on his own and then in the classes arise a debate on the subject relating to actual business issues.

Group works did not act like such, in my host university we are used to work as a team and here they just splitted the work into different pieces and did not care much about how they would fit together!
