The host family experience forced me to utilize my language skills, yet the immersion experience could have extended to the classroom. Most Germans speak English well, so it would have behooved us to have no choice but to be constantly surrounded by their language.

Berlin provides every possible contemporary cultural innovation. Friedrichshain is a fascinating and lively neighborhood. The WMF Club is amazing. The record shop Staalplaat is unlike any I have ever visited.
