even if you think you have enough time to study for exams and final projects, it would be better to start studying at the very beginning of the course ,i.e. September. you will have a great advantage, especially if you are attending lectures from other courses.

There is nothing really importand I would mention. Just that I was a bit nervous before leaving for a year abroad. Now I know it was a great experience and I can be more relaxed and focused on what I want next time. But I needded that travel to realise this....

In my opinion the level of GMIT in somewhere between the University and Secondary High school in the Czech Republic. So there was something I missed there to call it the real University but would for sure recomned the GMIT as the first abroad-study experience destination.

I'd sayed before the level of the subjects are not very high and so you have time to travell around and to enjoy your stay. But I'd like that it is a bit harder, because sometimes I hear something in the lectures I already learned. But generally it is good because you can really improve your technical english. Also the teacher are mostly good and they able to explain the problems very well. And it is after some week no problem to follow the lectures. And this is good because when you cannot follow the lectures you will give up after some time and you don't learn anything.

Travellin here is no problem, because from the colleg there are sometimes trips to somewhere in Ireland. Also it is no problem to rent a car. It is not that expensive. Travelling with bus is also possible but took's sometimes a long time. In generally when you come to Ireland you have to travel a lot because there are so many beautiful things to see. And the landscape is amazing.

I have a very good overall opinion about this experience! If you want to travel, no pb, there are plenty of bus companies providing daily trips around Ireland, for quite a cheap price (£10 average) Then, inside the University, you have the weekenders society, which a student union, organizing group trips all around Ireland, for really cheap!

try to know what classes you are going to take before you leave, have at least twice the number you think you will, the scheduling of classes can be difficult.

The experience abroad is very good. GMIT is an institute of Technology NOT a University, so don't get surprised. Enjoy your time in Ireland and travel as much as you can. Jobs are easy to find in case you need it. Ireland is a expensive country for food.
