Final comments
Travelling is also quite expensive in the US, because you always have to fly due to the long distances. Make use of all the services provided by the University. They are usually very good in the clubs they maintain, career services, health services, athletic/sports facilities...

I was able to enroll in the Master of Science Applied Physics program (Acoustics Concentration) on a part time basis while I worked full time for the telecommunications company BellSouth Cellular (now AT&T Mobility).  The course work was challenging but rewarding and expanded my knowledge in the areas of acoustics, audio, and test engineering.

Overall
The Georgia Institute of Technology is one of the best engineering schools in the world. It has world-class faculty, and located in the heart of Atlanta, it is just a walk away from all sorts of exciting activities. The dining services could improve, but overall, it was a great and rewarding experience
