Expenses
Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant
Other sources of funding:
Family<br> Personal savings
Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options
Personal spending habits
I spent more on food and accommodation because prices there in Belgium are higher than in Poland. As regards the nightlife and travelling, it seems easier and more tempting to spare time to those activities when surrounded by friends, so in that case the higher expenses were due not necessarily to the prices (which are higher anyway) but mainly to my increased social life.

Personal comments
In order to save some money on food, I advise shopping at big markets like GB or Delhaize. They offer cheap but good quality food products ("Produit Blanc", "Derby"). If you intend to travel in Belgium a lot, consider buying a go-pass - a book of ten train tickets, allowing to go to any place in Belgium for no more than 150 BEF.

well, liege isn't the cutest city of belgium, but it has nice things to do. You must be aware that you rent a house close to the university! and you should see it first, before having a commitment with the landlord.. Every erasmus students wants to have fun and to enjoy erasmus life... this university is ok... but don't forget that this is a privat university! there are only a few erasmus students. although, Liege has a public university..and there.. u will find a loooooooot of erasmus people! At night everybody goes to the same places. there are a few roads, all toguether, that have many bars, drunk people, happy people, night shops, kabeb's and pita shuam rests... you'll find everything... but most of all..BEER, LOTS OF BEER... Jupiler!!I must inform that in the street of the university there is a bar where you can find more than 900 kinds of beer... you must try it! I could stay here for hours saying what you could do in liege... but i think you wont have problems in finding that out! ENJOY AS much as i did!
