In the university as the language of instruction was English, we could speak easily with all students and teachers. Outside the university, Dutch people speak English fluently so it was not a problem to be understood in any situations and topics. They can easily switch of spoken language.

in my host country, the local language is a little difficult but I would like to learn. in the Netherlands, I experienced more in English communication. For Dutch, since I haven't learnt it formally, it is not improved yet.

HES is really trying to be a international school.Most of student could speak English.And it will be much better if it could offer more pratical second language course instead of only focus on examnations

It was ok. I didn't leran that much of the language of the host country but i think that if i go back i would be much more ready to learn more and acquired everyday knowledge.

Almost all local students can speak English. It is not difficult for new comers who come from other countries to develop active communication with each other.
