It is possible to manage in English almost in every situation in Amsterdam. In addition, after few weeks I was able to understand written and also a bit of spoken language (Dutch) because of previous language knowledge of German, Swedish and English. So even the information written in Dutch was quite clear for me.

You can easily cope with English in almost all situations, so there was no real need to study Dutch if you didn't want to.

In the Netherlands everybody speak english this is why I didn't learn dutsch. But I have improved my english
