The Residence where I used to live, was "Le Totem", it was the official residence of my Management School in France.
Liveing there, gave me the possibility to know, since I arrived, a lot of students, coming from all over the world.
I was fun sharing our experiences and sometimes our homesickness...which is important when you are living abroad.

Le Totem was really nice, 20m2, 240 €/month CAF included. Only drawbacks : Mr. and Mrs. Jeangey, the hall-keepers

Why?
Try to find out who is also going to Nancy and rent an appartment together. This will be a choice that you will never regret. There is state aid available for most kinds of housing, which makes the prices at the "Totem" not appear too high, but they are!!

The university has a co-operation with the residence "Totem" for all ERASMUS exchange students, which may obtain an appartment in this building. In comparison to the housing market in Nancy the quality you receive for quite a bit of rent is ridiculous. Only advantage: Most of the international students live in this appartment building which assures a decent party almost every night.

Why?
The complex where I lived was the student complex and all of my classmates lived there as well. We all had our own studio and also rooms where we could come together and play cards etc. also we had a big garden which was really nice and clean. Adding to that there was also parking place, laundry service and a gym and that for the small price was perfect! and very close to the university and city.
