Course recommendations
High quality courses, especially in quantitative sciences, such as systems, production, finance. A different approach in Marketing is adopted, more of a quantitative approach.

The cost of living in India is lower than in switzerland. Therefore, food, housing and nightlife is cheap.
I spent egual with the telephone as I mainly use skype to speak with friends and family regardless of being in a country or in anothe one.
As for the travel costs, they were more than at home because it was one of my aims to visit and discover this fascinating country.

Personal comments
the language of Karnataka is Kannada, spoken by just inhabitants of the State. Most people speak English and Hindi. Students are proficientin English and their native language is generally either Hindi or Bengali or Tamil or Kannada, but all speak Hindi on campus. English is the language on campus, except for joles and cultural aspects in which it is useless.

Food and Housing on campus is very cheap. I used to call Austria with my Indian cellphone, what is not really expensive, but naturally not that cheap like in Austria.

India is cheap anyway so you do not have to care that much about your money. You can save money by planning your tours carefully. The Lonely Planet helps you to save a lot of money.

The relative grading system is not that easy to understand for exchange students. It should be more clear what you have to do to pass the courses.
