If you get chance to spend a year or so in Bordeaux, you should go. Travel tips - public transport is very efficient, both regional and national.

It would have been nice if the French students had made more of an effort to communicate with the internationals at Uni. Maybe the courses should place less emphasis on parrot-like responses during examinations.
