This one-year course included modules in politics, economics and growth of the EU. This provided me with the opportunity to experience university life in France. All lectures and tutorials were given in French. Initially, this was quite a challenge but I quickly learned to adapt and persevere. It also made me aware of the different teaching and learning techniques used in France

Before I left for France I was nervous and thought I was going to have real problems when I got there. While there were some struggles, as is expected when one goes abroad, by the end I was totally comfortable and loved speaking French--whereas when I first arrived, I didn't want to say anything!

You spend most of your time with international students because French culture means that most university students already have their friends from high school. So unless you spend time with a host family or in some sort of extracurricular, you wont use your skills

The lack of contact with the local students makes ereyday live french at little difficult. Comprehension of courses no problem after initial problems

At the begining it was a little bit diffcult to get used to the french environment, but at the third month averything was much better
