Please listen carefully to the instructions at the beginning and everything will be allright. Don't do what you would not permit you to do in your own country.

In summer Monterrey is very very hot. If your going to travel all over Mexico contact in the campus people from the part you are going to, they will give you the best advise. When travelling do not wear ostentatious things. Taste "margaritas" and a beer called "Sol".

Overall
The courses are very informative, they are also easy to follow as the professors always make an effort to make their classes engaging and fun. The professors are always available for questions, tutoring, and talking about their experiences. The theoretical aspect of the class is amazing, but at times one is left wishing to put it into practice a little, at least in some Engineering degrees. The school overall is a nice place with plenty of opportunities for extracurricular development, such as Student Groups or Societies about a wide range of topics, classes on sports, yoga, public speaking, instruments, dancing, etc.

Pros
Excelent classes and teachers, as well as opportunity for extraccuricular development
Cons
Lack of non-theoretical work in some degrees

I wish I had known...
That the school was at 40 minutes by bus from town. (Campus Mazatlan) No big deal, but always good to know.

Good teaching, good service, not much to say... But as I said earlier, organizing events with local people and foreigners should make better contacts, especially when someone wants to learn a language.

I know that the TEC is a highly reputated school, but I found that it was a big party trip for most people on this exchange. Of course, I should have known better, the campus was in Mazatlan, close to the beach. The atmosphere on a small recluded campus can be fun, but it is important to realize that the culture of the host country might be missing... Foreigners are gatthering together and make groups which is fun, but it depends what you're looking for. Travelling in Mexico is cheap and easy, lots of things to see and do. As the other exchanges I made with the UNAM and the UCR, find a place to stay is not that hard, it's cheaper and you'll meet other kind of people.

It is importante to know that here exists a different way of teaching and learning, more like in school. The people here at the campus are rich and some of them do not see the problems that occurre outside of the campus. It is not possible to compare studying here with getting to know a lot of the mexican culture.

It is no easy to live in Mexico-City, a lot of contermination y too much people-. If you want to study here you need 900 US-dollars for one month, trips not included. It is recomendable to live in a zone with private secuurity because there are a lot of robberies here( two weeks ago they stole my car). Don´t forget that Mexico-City is dangerous!
