I was surprised how well most of the Finns speak English (altough sometimes they deny it). I went to Finland to learn more Finnish and it was not easy because I often ended up talking in English.I had some difficulties understanding local people who speak dialects.

i was used to an english environment in my home country due to the studies i do, so it wasn't at all a big change in finland. in fact it was the same...maybe more native english speakers as teachers, that's all

In Finland the official language is finish but everybody (90%) of population speak english and in the university all is in english.That was no problem

At the beginning was a litttle bit difficult to speak english fluently, but at the end of my stay I even thought in english!

No problem--easy to find good English speakers in Finland. I do wish I'd made a better effort to learn Finnish, however.

the language was very difficult but I had the opportunity of learning it at university and among the citizens.
