The local dialect "Oberösterreichisch" was pretty hard to understand. I was lucky to get known many austrian people, who were so nice, that they tought me their local language, so that I could understand them in their everyday life.

Takes time untill one gets used to the austrina German but the teachers express themselves very understable and most of them speaks very well English.
