In terms of languages, the academic side involved english-taught courses. Having a bilingual diploma I am completely fluent in English, hence having no difficulties academically. Dutch, the language spoken in Leuven was unknown to me before going to Belgium. Since my stay wasn't for too long I didn't get involved in Dutch courses. In terms of French, spoken in Brussels and widely throughout part of Belgium, I had everyday knowledge that was further developed.

The favorite bar of the Erasmus community was "WINK", there were also two very popular bars (special to the latin community) that was "Villa Ernesto" and "Ambiorix"(this last one I didn't like it that much)

Overall
The quality of studies exceeded my expectations. I was able to select a wide variety of courses including literature, politics, EU studies, and many others. Professors are professionals in their areas, they provide a great feedback in the cases it's needed. The community is international and mind-open, there are many opportunities to meet interesting people.
