N/A, Danish is my first language.
A foreigner who does not speak Danish might find interaction with regular Danish student difficult. All though all Danish people speak English they tend to not wanting to maka an effort in communication with foreigners.

the language course was very good - we learned both written and spoken language including slang for several months quite OK. After that I continued to study Danish at Moscow State University and reached a pretty good level.

Try to learn Danish! It really helps and truly makes you feel more a part of the city. The majority of exchange students don't bother to learn the language but the Danes really appreciate if you make an effort. Take the intro language course at least, it helps!

Everyone speaks English, so it is actually hard to practice. Because I arrived later than other students to Denmark, they did not let me do the Danish course most students did.

I had a great oportunity to study with my host family, however, everyone speaks english very well in Denmark and I was not forced at all to improve level of my knowledge.
