For the first term, i stayed in Tunastigen, this was about a 30min walk to campus. After the chrsitmas break I moved to Vänörtsvägen, this was on campus.

the students union (Kåren) is a good place to go and meet other students. Downtown, check out, Brygeriet, Terrazen (only during summer) and Bar 1.

We were told to arrive two weeks before term started. This was for a two week induction. Classes didnt actually start until September.

Luleå is renound for the way it treats exchange students, there are several events/trips organised throughout the year, all of which are free!

Final comments
When travelling around Scandanavia, it is quite cheap to fly if you are under 26 years of age. If you buy a stand-by ticket this is even cheaper.

General cost of living is higher in Sweden when compared to the UK. Accomadation is fairly cheap.
