Housing
Type of housing: Apartment/House
Arranged by: Independently - I had no other choice
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
As an independent student (not involved in any exchange/scholarship program), also known here as "free mover", the university makes it clear that we're on our own in terms of getting accommodation. It was particularly difficult for me, coming from Canada, to find available housing in Sweden. It's not impossible, but it certainly takes a lot of persistence, patience and tenacity. It took me 4.5 months to find a room. I share an apartment with two other girls, one Swedish and one Finnish.

Personal comments
The university offers housing only to those international students on exchange and offers absolutely no support to those international students who independently study here. That's a pity.

It is easy to meet other students and you can have both, the privacy of your room and social life in the living room. One corridor is four ten students and that means fun!!!

Very very new rooms (1 room = room + bathroom) near the center. As there is a shortage of housing internationals have their own section of the building. This is a pitty, I think.
