Housing
Type of housing: Dormitory
Arranged by: Host university
If returning, I would choose: Dormitory or room exhange
Why?
Living in a dormitory is an opportunity to learn new languages and cultures because there is a large range of people living there from all over the world (Russia, Germany, France, China, USA, Italy and so on). You can meet people, make new friends and share all kind of knowledge and experiences.

Personal comments
It was an exciting experience.
The Professors were great, their level of English (Even if they were non-native speakers) was quite good. I learnt a lot in this period studying Marketing, Accountancy, computer skills all of them in English complementing my Spanish skills in those areas.

Languages
Language of instruction: English
Was learning English a key decision factor?
No, it wasn't.
How much did you improve your English?
My level before: Basic phrases
My level after: At ease in most situations
Language difficulties
Administrative / Institutional
Personal comments
In Finland almost everybody speaks a Good English, but at the University that level is even better.
I had no problem with English speakers, on the other hand not everybody speaks English so I had to learn a bit of Finnish for shopping and other kind of things. I wish I had learnt more about this Language (Finnish) but when you know a little of English is easier to communicate using it than using Finnish which is new for you. Anyway you always learn easy sentences and words to survive.

Expenses
Main source of funding:
An ERASMUS grant
Other sources of funding:
Family
Personal savings
Government assistance
An ERASMUS grant
Work opportunities:
I didn't explore any work options
Personal spending habits
I spent more than at home because when you have the opportunity and the time to travel around Europe and have fun from time to time you cannot lose the chance even if you need a little bit more money than usual.
And the most important Erasmus is once in a lifetime.
