ESC offers student accommodation right besides the campus, which is very convenient for the students and you get to know everybody very quickly. This student residence is fairly expensive though, and it's not furnished, you can rent furniture for additional cost though. The residence I stayed in through CROUS, was much more affordable, close to city centre (only about 15min by bus to college though!), very clean and spacious, eveybody had own little appartment with toilet, shower and kitchen, you got to meet people from other institutions too - all positive experiences!

Being in an only student environment is fun, as everyone gets along really well and has something to share from their native culture. However, it would be nice to have more integration with the french

The usual student hangouts like Velvet, Bayou, O'Kallaghans, Murphys, Highlands and Big Ben get boring after about the second time you've been there. I would recommend Nash and Le Trio if you're looking for a change. Don't miss the open bar parties organised by the BDE and BDS, especially the soirée parrainage normally held at La Hacienda. Between 10-20 euros per person, but well worth it, although no beer; free drinks are spirits. There is a huge funfair in November, right next to the river in the city, which is excellent for an evening's entertainment. If you fancy the cinema, then check out the Melville, which shows international/art films, on Tuesday nights for their student discounts.
