I have learned a lot of slang, as well as management terms that I do not know in English. I think my comprehension and oral communication skills improved more than my written skills, probably due to the fact that there was so much group work.

As there were so many international students, it was hard to get to speak French through the studies. Own activity was requires to find things to do outside the academic life to meet the locals and speak the language. Great opportunity to polish the language skills came through the opportunity to do a stage, work placement, in which i got to use French in a work environment.

If you really want to speak the local language, than you have to make a lot of contacts with local students! But you have to do the first steps, because they are not approaching to international students

I had a very good level in French, but after my studies I spoke fluently. This is, however, the result of my willingness to speak French, as most international students only speak English on campus.
